It was a moment of joy, celebration and thanksgiving as Pastor Titus Adeyemi Adesoji was on Sunday 19th February 2023, inducted as the 4th Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Isokun Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ilesa, Osun State.
The august occasion, graced by dignitaries of the church and all and sundry, was also characterized by excitement, jubilation, expression of gratitude to God Almighty for such remarkable day, and beautifully coordinated choir rendition.
Representing the Church Authority, the Regional Superintendent of CAC Orogun Region, Pastor E. S. Famuyide, performed the induction rites for the erstwhile Registrar of Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS).
Sermonizing from Luke 10:38-39, Pastor Famuyide narrated how Martha received Jesus into their house, while Mary sat at His feet to hear His words, exhorting the congregation on conforming their Christian attitude after Mary, who studiously gave herself to the teachings of Jesus, and not as Martha, who only cared about food.
The Orogun Regional Superintendent also noted that there are many Marthas in the Church today who are actively involved in Church activities but very few Mary who are willing to listen and hearken to God's word.
He concluded that Martha did not do anything bad for her welfarism, she only left the most important thing undone, Christians must avoid today.
The Isokun DCC Secretary, Elder Dr. D. S. Ogundahunsi had in his welcome address, described Pastor Adesoji as a dynamic, spirit filled, progressive, educated and focused man of God, noting the anxiety and ambivalent attitude of the church before and after he was announced to take over from the now retired immediate past Superintendent, Pastor R. A. Fasoyin.
He further attested to Pastor Adesoji's exemplary leadership, sacrificial service and divinely inspired vision which, according to him, has transformed the DCC within the 14 months of resumption.
The Inductee and his amiable wife, Mrs. Oluwayemisi A. Adesoji appreciated God and everyone who gave a success story to the occasion of the induction.
Dignitaries present at the occasion include, Provost CACTS, Pastor Professor C.O. Oshun; Deputy Provost, Pastor Dr. M.O.A. Oluwaniyi; Registrar, Pastor L.B. Akinyosoye, among other staff members of the institution; and CAC Ijesa Axis Leader Pastor J. Babayemi. Others are retired DCC Chairman, Pastor J. Babatope, retired ministers, DCC and Zonal Superintendents within the Region, and a host of family members and friends.
