In an age of distorted faith, where hopes are dwindling, with several questions bothering on the intervention of God and fulfilment of His promises, Christians have been enjoined to have absolute trust in God, the promise keeper who never fails.
"It is fundamental for us to know in our walk with God that He is a promise keeping God," the Director of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro declared.
Pastor Gbuyiro gave this description of God while ministering on the topic "The Promise Keeping God" from the text 1st King 8 vs 56, at the Day 1 of the March Edition of the Monthly Early Morning Prayer of Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Grace, Ibadan, Oyo State.
"Our knowledge of God is not complete until we know Him as promise keeping God. Whatever God says, He has everything within Himself to fulfill it," the cleric harped.
The Youth Director disclosed that, "If you don't know God in this capacity, you will become stranded and hopeless as a child of God," adding that, "many are wandering today because they don't know God as a promise keeping God. They are looking for things as if God is lost. Let it settle in your heart that God is a promise keeping God."
"All the needs of men and every miraculous acts of God are in His promises. Everything you need to fulfill promises, God has spoken about them. Our gathering would have been fruitless if there is no promise of God that covers it. The motivation in this gathering is that God has promised that when we seek Him we will find Him," he said.
According to him, "God is not going to do anything He has not said. He will not do anything He has not promised. Anytime you want to seek the face of God for anything, you need to understand what He says about it."
Pastor Gbuyiro also noted that, "the promise and Word of God says 'even though it tarries, it will surely come to pass.' Keep trusting God. Keep believing Him. Even though it tarries, He is a promise keeping God. If something is telling you God has forgotten you it is a lie. God can't forget what He said. We must live our lives in the word of God as His children. What He said He will do, He will do it. He has every power to do it."
