Mrs. Oluwasayo B. Oladokun, wife of the Regional Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Anosike Region (Europe), Pastor Simeon Oladokun has implored Ministers' wives not to allow the world squeeze them into its own shape or pattern.
She noted that as Ministers' wives, they were called to be different, not because of what they do or do not do, but because of whom they are and Whom they believe (Jesus Christ).
Mrs. Oladokun who said this at the just concluded golden jubilee conference of CAC Ministers' Wives Fellowship in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State told the Ministers' wives that "God called you to do the best you can and trust Him with the rest. God called you to make a difference, you are a unique individual. God has called you to bring your unique combination of gifts and talents to a higher purpose. You are to be like Christ."
According to her, Ministers' wives must be ready to wait on the Lord in order to fulfil God's purpose in the positions they occupied, saying it took Esther twelve months to get ready to meet the king of Persia (Esther 2:12).
"Don't let us forget that the purpose of God for Esther is to become a queen so that she can get freedom for her people. Are you ready to wait in God's waiting room? Esther was more than just another female trying to win a beauty contest. She was there for a purpose.
"What matters most in life is not what other people say about you. What truly matters is what God will say about you. This should be the determining factor for the purpose of your life. With God at the centre in our lives, seeking to conform ourselves to the image of His Son, seeking to serve His will as Christ's Ambassadors we will fulfil His purpose for our lives," she said."
Mrs. Oladokun said everyone has a purpose to fulfill here on earth, and that purpose is to know the Lord and to accept Jesus Christ as the Lord and our Saviour.
She added: "that is step number one, there is no use going on to the next steps if you have not made Jesus the Lord in your life. If you try to fulfill the will of God without first knowing God, you will be walking in your own pleasure, and you will not be able to fulfill God's purpose nor will you ever be able to live a fulfilled life."
