Almost a year after being transferred to Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Irapada District, Gbonyi DCC, Aisegba-Ekiti, Pastor E. Olu Alade has been formally inducted as the new District Superintendent of CAC Oke-Irapada.
Pastor Alade was inducted on Sunday April 30, 2023 by the Church Authority, represented by the Superintendent of Gbonyi DCC, Pastor A.O. Afolabi.
It was a day of divine fulfilment for Pastor Alade who was transferred from CAC Oke-Igbala, Ilupeju Ekiti and elevated to the status of District Superintendent as family, friends and well wishers gathered to celebrate the Cleric.
After powerful song ministrations by the Good Women and Church Choir, the DCC Superintendent of Gbonyi DCC, Pastor Afolabi administered the induction rite on Pastor Alade.
In his message titled "Are you working for the Lord as He sent you?" taking his text from the book of Numbers chapter 30 verse 12, Pastor Afolabi said workers of Christ must do the work accordingly with carefulness and identification of God as the sender and owner of the work.
While imploring the newly inducted District Superintendent of Oke-Irapada, the Cleric said there will always be issues in church, but in the midst of the issues, as a ministers of God the inductee must do the will of the Master, Jesus Christ.
He added that; "you just started working. Every position calls for responsibilities and that is what those who are position conscious should know. People or the church may be satisfied with your work without God been satisfied."
Before Pastor Afolabi started his message, he announced Pastor Alade as the new DCC Secretary of Gbonyi DCC which received a resounding clap from the congregation.
Earlier in his welcome address, the District Secretary of Oke-Irapada District, Elder O.B. Faweya said CAC Oke-Irapada was formerly known as CAC Number 2 Oke-Aanu and was planted by Prophet Adegbite in the year 1986.
He further revealed that; "the church started under a shield made up of palm leaves which was tagged 'Abe-Atibaba' and later developed to a kiosk made up of plank known as 'Inu Pako'. To the Glory of God, this church moved from small church building constructed with mound blocks into the big auditorium where we are today. The church became a District in the year 2009 with three Assemblies as at today."
He noted that the church has experienced tremendous shift and turn around for good since Pastor Alade resumed duties as the District Superintendent on Monday May 2, 2022.
"I am indeed glad to say since his inception, we have continued to witness unprecedented developments. Barely after two months of his arrival, he attended a programme tagged 'Applied Ministerial Leadership Certificate Course' at Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State and passed both 1st and 2nd stages of the course in July and November, 2022 respectively. Having completed the course he was conferred with Fellow of Human Resources & Leadership Development Certificate. As a matter of fact, this programme has reflected in his life. His unique exemplary leadership which allows for divergent views has helped in the rapid and colossal successes within this short period in the saddle. Pastor Alade has brought spiritual re-awakening, unity and peace to this district since he came on board as a result of his leadership acumen."
Part of the achievements of the Pastor Alade according to Elder Faweya are revitalizing the church Nursery/Primary school (Ayo Babalola Model School), completing the tiles works of the church Auditorium, procurement of drum set and sewing of Choir Robes for the use of our Church Choristers, commencement of one block of six classrooms for the use of Ayo Babalola Model School, procurement of a generating plant and installation of solar light at the Church vicarage.
During the service, about two dozens of chairs donated by Pastor Alade for the Elders of the church were dedicated by the DCC Superintendent, Pastor Afolabi.
