It was a moment filled with gladness at Christ Apostolic Church Odi Olowo DCC on Sunday June 11, 2023 as members celebrated the church's 13th annual anniversary.
The programme, held at the Odi Olowo, DCC headquarters, Ilupeju, Lagos, had in attendance all the 10 Districts Assemblies under the DCC. Odi Olowo DCC also presented a merit award to some Districts for their great and continuous contribution to the DCC, stirring other Districts to put more effort.
In his sermon at the anniversary thanksgiving, the Superintendent of Odi Olowo DCC, Pastor D. O. Ogungbenjo noted that "God wants us to take heed of four important things."
The Clergyman said, "family is one of the most important things in everyone's life. After the salvation of your soul, the next thing is the family because God is the foundation of every family."
He added that every family is a representation of God and he has a plan for every family, adding that "for God's plan to come into manifestation you need to take heed strictly to your family."
"Your health is very important. So many genuine children of God die untimely, not because it is God's time but because of ignorance and lack of knowledge, so many people over use their body which is wrong, learn to rest and sleep well," the cleric said.
He emphasized that every child of God attaining heaven must pay attention to their own character, saying that a child of God must not be too harsh towards others as the hospitality level of many persons are very low which most times, hinders our prayers or add more to our problems, urgint his audience to check their character.
He noted that our spiritual life is one of the important things to be mindful of as a child of God, "our spiritual life need to be taken care of daily, your personal relationship with God is very paramount if you claim to be a child of God, the word of God, prayers and total obedience to God helps our spiritual life to grow do not ignore them," he said.
The program came to an end after the general thanksgiving as everyone rejoiced in the presence of God.
