Christ Apostolic Church, Odi-Olowo Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos, on Friday June 9, 2023 held 2023 Ministers' and Wives Refresher Course.
The well attended Refresher Course took place at the DCC headquarters,in Ilupeju, with the theme" Take Heed To Yourself".
Delivering the welcome address, the Superintendent of CAC Odi-Olowo DCC, Pastor D.O. Ogungbenjo appreciated ministers and their wives for their prayers, godly counsels, visitation, financial and material gifts, above all for their obedience to the church authorities and to the great master Lord Jesus Christ.
He noted that the theme of the refresher course is a warning signal to all ministers to be mindful and sensitive of the devices of the devil.
Delivering the first lecture, Evang.(Mrs) A.B.C. Komolafe, teaching on "Ministers' Integrity" said a minister should follow instructions given from divine by God and not following his or her own will because a minister is called and led by God.
Analysing a Ministers' Integrity, she added that a minister of God must represent God to the congregation and community with a higher standard of morals, it is very vital that a minister should examine his or her morals.
Evang. (Mrs.) Komolafe who is the wife of District Superintendent, CAC House of blessing District concluded that as a minister with integrity, we are called to serve and must fulfill our mandate by serving and representing Christ wherever we find ourselves.
The second lecture was delivered by Pastor S.O. Afolayan of CAC Liberation District on topic "Pit Fall in the Ministry." He said that one of the pit falls most ministers falls into is lack of contentment, many ministers of God wants to "fill among" and as a result they neglect their God and their mandate.
The clergyman added that some ministers seek spiritual powers from strange gods for the sake of reputation, many God's servant are ready to obtain power at all cost and they use what they have to get what they want, adding that a minister needs to be prepared to face challenges in the ministry.
The refresher course also featured share and care and powerful prayer sessions.
