It was a celebration of 12 years of God's glorification at the 12th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service of Christ Apostolic Church, Power of God Prayer Mountain, Gwagwalada, Abuja on Sunday May 28, 2023.
The Anniversary which started with different programmes from Monday May 22, 2023 ended with an atmosphere of thanksgiving at the church which started under a tree in 2011, but God has transformed it to a befitting edifice.
There were songs ministrations by Arambada Twins, Daughter of Zion and Omo Oba Akikitan that thrilled the whole congregation.
Ministering on the topic "Waiting on God, a condition for Glorification", (John 5:2-5), the Director of Youth Affairs, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro said it takes a committed heart to be consistent, commending the planter of the mountain, Prophetess Funke Adeyemo for the great work.
Pastor Gbuyiro also said it's mandatory for anyone who wants God's glorification to learn how to wait on Him (God), noting that it's not all time we demand something from God that we are qualified to receive them.
According to him, God needs to make you in order for you to make use of whatever you are asking Him for appropriately, adding that a man that will give birth to Isaac must be built in a way that he will be ready to give Isaac as a sacrifice.
Citing Psalm 27 verse 14, the Cleric said for anyone to attain the level of glorification one needs to learn how to wait on him.
"A child of God who is not ready to wait is not qualified to receive God's glorification. Before God can build any physical thing for you, He must build you from the inside. In the course of waiting, God will be working on you. If this church has grown the very month it started, our mother (Prophetess Adeyemo) won't be able to handle it. One of the tests children of God must pass is test of waiting. If you're not ready to wait you are not ready to receive. You're not fit for glorification until you allow God to prepare you. God will not change His standard if He's going to do what He has done in the past for us. It takes every Hannah to give birth to Samuel. It's not everyone who can give birth to Samuel. Every material God will trust He must test them. Every miracle of God carries God's identity and takes a man God has worked on to manage God's identity. If you have studied your Bible, you will discover that men and women who have experienced God are waiters," Pastor Gbuyiro explained.
The Clergyman challenged youths of these days who think waiting is an old school thing that waiting is an arrangement of God and any man who will be relevant in the purpose of God must be a waiter.
He noted that Jesus Christ waited to become a Son, he wasn't born as a son but as a child.
He added that "God opens His children to challenges because He knows the challenges will never overcome them. Job is a typical example. I don't see God glorifying a product He can't be proud of. He wants to be proud of you that is why He wants you to wait for him. The Bible is full of the stories of waiters. Waiting always precedes glorification. When you can't wait, it shows that you don't know what you're looking for. God is only real to the waiters. Waiters are Victors. Waiters are winners. When you terminate your waiting, you will miss your miracle. The strength and ability of the believers is in their waiting. You can't wait on God and miss your target. You can't wait on God without fulfilling your purpose."
While saying CAC is a church of the waiters, Pastor Gbuyiro said history made us to understand that our fathers waited upon the Lord for ten years (from 1918-1928) in prayers before revival broke out in 1928 through Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola.
