It was a week of tremendous blessings through grace-filled teachings as Christ Apostolic Church, Ketu 1 Zone, Lagos held her 2023 refresher course and 2nd anniversary from Thursday, June 22 to Sunday, June 25, 2023.
The refresher course with the theme: "Biblical Heroes Who Grew In The Grace And Knowledge Of God" commenced on Thursday with two lectures.
The first lecture was handled by the guest speaker, the Superintendent of CAC Life and Power Zone, Pastor Mich 'Tunji Oladapo with the topic; "God's Grace In Leadership: Nehemiah as a Case Study."
In the very impactful lecture, Pastor Oladapo explored the principles and attributes of grace-filled leadership in the context of the life and leadership of Nehemiah and also charged all the ministers present to emulate the leadership qualities of Nehemiah.
In the second lecture of the first day,the Superintendent of Mountain Of Wonders District, Pastor Okeleye Solomon spoke on the topic;" Manifesting God's Grace and Knowledge in a Perverse World" strongly emphasized that ministers of God can only manifest God's grace and knowledge in this perverse world if they understand what they have and how to use what they have in order not to be squeezed into the mould of the perverse world.
The second day of the refresher course was organised for ministers in the zone and their spouses and the Zonal Superintendent of CAC Life and Power Zone, Pastor Oladapo ministered on the topic: "The Pastor's Home as a Model For Growth in God's Grace And Knowledge: A Case Study of Joshua."
He submitted that Joshua exhibited an enviable example of a godly father and parenting and this is a model for our homes as pastors.
Other programmes that took place on the second day were Workshop on Effective Retirement Plan For CAC Ministers and Bible Study on the topic: "The Unity Of The Church." These sessions were anchored by the Superintendent of Isheri-Olofin District, Pastor Oluwafemi Abe and Pastor Alo Joshua.
The last day of the refresher course which was on Saturday and it had in attendance, ministers, elders, deaconesses and workers. The first speaker, Pastor Femi Oyenekan, (Ph.D), the Chairman of the refresher course committee ministered on the topic "Transgenerational Impartation of God's Grace and Knowledge: A Case Study of Timothy", while the second lecture with the topic:"The Church and the Law" was handled by Rev. Adegboyega Ogunsanya Ph.D, a lawyer and a minister with the Assemblies of God Church Nigeria.
Sunday, the anniversary thanksgiving day had in attendance the Zonal Superintendent of CAC Ketu-1, Pastor I.O. Falobi, District Superintendents, Pastors, Evangelists, Elders, Deaconesses, Good Women, Men, Youths and children. In his anniversary message, the Superintendent of the zone, Pastor Falobi admonished everyone present to grow in God's grace and knowledge they have received so as not to become an ingrate to God who is the giver of the grace.
