The Director of Christian Education, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Sam. Olu. Falade has implored children teachers to value children just as the way God values them.
Pastor Falade stated this while giving his welcome speech at the Annual Decentralised Children Workers' Seminar 2023, 30th edition held last week in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
Speaking about theme of the seminar, Pastor Falade said;"we are divinely fortunate to be discussing the theme, POSITIONING CHILDREN FOR GODLY INFLUENCE (Acts 16:2), in the course of this holy convocation for lovers of God's Word and children ministry. Influence is described as 'the power that someone has to affect other people's thinking or actions by means of argument, example, or force of personality' in the Microsoft Encarta Dictionary. By having a godly example, personality and doctrine, as well as encouraging them to do the same for others, we imply having a godly influence on children's thinking, acts, inactions and reactions (i.e., ways of life). God values children very highly, and we should do the same."
He appreciated the church authority who have generously supported the successful hosting of the august programme for the benefit of all.
The Cleric added that;"we sincerely appreciate the effort of our fathers, president, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, who is a father with a never-ending desire to see kids grow to be the best they can be for, and in God through His Word. The amiable General Superintendent, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi, the enthusiastic General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji, the seasoned General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur, the meticulous Finance Director, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde, and the ardent Mission Director, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi, are also deserving of our gratitude. Sirs, may you live long enough to enjoy the results of your virtuous labours."
Pastor Falade also appreciated the sincere efforts and wonderful contributions of fathers and mothers in the Lord, members of the CAC General Christian Education Committee, ably headed by Pastor Nicholas Ikefuama, in ensuring that the department functions maximally through proper oversight, is highly commendable.
The Director of Christian Education also said;"without genuinely thanking our fathers, the Regional Superintendents, DCC/Zonal Superintendents, District Superintendents, assembly ministers, and other assembly leaders at the local assemblies, my address would not have been complete. We praise God for the tireless labour of our Sunday school officers at the regional, DCC/zonal, district, and assembly levels as well as the throng of Sunday school workers (adult and children) who serve all around the world."
