Christ Apostolic Church, Ogbagi Zone, Ogbagi-Akoko, Odubanjo region has held the 2023 Edition of her Annual Workers' Refresher Course.
The annual event tagged "Rediscovering the Patriarchs' Spiritual Maturity as Church Workers on CAC Tenets" held on Friday, 18th August 2023 at CAC Oke Alaafia Zonal Headquarters Ogbagi Akoko, Ondo State.
In his Welcome Address, the Zonal Superintendent, Pastor E. A. F. Osomooba appreciated God for the grace received, for sparing their lives, and all the goodness enjoyed till the day of the programme despite the challenges that befell individuals and the nation at large.
Pastor Osomooba told the participants that God depends on them to carry out His purpose on earth, saying that God will never delegate his work to three categories of people who are, strangers, babies and people who don't fear Him.
Exhorting the participants, the Zonal Superintendent who exposited from the theme, stated that "there is need to go deeper with our relationship with God which is the essence of our living," adding that "God is expecting us to a have cordial and robust relationship with Him."
He concluded by imploring the workers that God knows His people, saying that, "when last did God speak to you as His Son? When last did God discipline you as His son? When last did God direct you as His Son?", also telling the workers that God values our relationship with Him than the work we do for Him.
The Zonal Superintendent who also took the lecture of the refresher course, explained who a worker is, qualifications of workers, duties of church workers, the importance of the Holy Spirit to a church worker and what the worker must know about the tenets of CAC.
The cleric who highlighted to the workers, the necessity of understanding the tenets of CAC and their functions, explained that the tenets and functions of the church workforce are cardinal to achieving a fulfilled Christian life and service.
According to him, "a man can not have a proper and flourishing Christian life without understanding God and His Fatherhood, likewise, it is impossible to render a fruitful and acceptable service to God without understanding Him and His Fatherhood."
Concluding the lecture, Pastor Osomooba encouraged that the church and all the workers must have a robust relationship with God, the heavenly Father before service in His vineyard.
After his lecture, the District Superintendent of Oke Igbala Ogbagi who is also the Chairman Planning Committee of the Seminar, Pastor T. A. Akinleye appreciated God for the wonderful and powerful lecture delivered by Pastor E.A.F. Osomooba and for his diligence in shepherding God's people in the zone, praying for more grace on the cleric.
He also charged all the participants to make use of all the lectures they have heard, urging them not pile-up messages but practice them, which is the gateway to heaven.
The chairman of the programme also appreciated all the participants and all and sundry for the success of the 2023 Worker's Refresher Course, charging the participants to go home and build a strong relationship with their heavenly Father.
