In a momentous and joyous occasion, the Amuwo-Odofin Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos gathered on Sunday July 30, 2023 together to witness the induction service of their new Superintendent, Pastor M.K Ehinmode. The service, held on a bright Sunday morning, marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the church community as they welcomed their fourth leader to guide and shepherd the DCC.
The induction service was filled with a sense of reverence and celebration. Church members from all walks of life came together to offer their prayers, support, and warm wishes to Pastor Ehinmode and his family. It was an event that highlighted the importance of continuity and the spirit of unity within the church.
The ceremony commenced with heartfelt worship, as the congregation sang songs of praise and thanksgiving. The atmosphere was charged with an air of anticipation and excitement as they looked forward to the new journey under Pastor Ehinmode's leadership.
One of the highlights of the occasion was the ushering-in of the new Superintendent with a Color Party by the Royal Shepherds of the DCC.
Musical renditions were performed by the Good Women Choir of the DCC, and also the DCC Choir. The DCC choir amplified the atmosphere with her rendition titled ‘Zadok The Priest’ and ‘Gbigbega Ni O’.
"It pleases the Lord and the authorities of the church to induct Pastor Michael Kayode Ehinmode over Amuwo Odofin District Coordinating Council today the 30th of July 2023 to care for the church, to teach, and to feed in accordance to his talent as its shepherd." These words from the Pearce Regional Superintendent, Pastor S.O. Aluko marked the beginning of the induction rites of Pastor M.K Ehinmode. This was a profound moment of consecration.
After the induction rites were performed, Pastor Aluko delivered a charge titled ‘Titus in Crete.’ The text was taken from the book of Titus 1 vs. 1- 16. Pastor Ehinmode was charged to be mindful of his words and deeds, and to also set himself and his family as good examples to the church.
In his speech, Pastor M.K Ehinmode expressed his gratitude to the CAC Authority for being entrusted with the responsibility of shepherding the Amuwo-Odofin DCC.
"I am deeply honored to stand before you today as the new superintendent of this remarkable church. I believe that God has great plans for this congregation, and together, we will continue to spread His love, grace, and compassion throughout the church community,” Pastor Ehinmode, said.
The service was graced with the presence of dignitaries from within and outside the Pearce Region; Yaba DCC Superintendent, Pastor S.E.A Oludare, Music Director, C.A.C Nigeria & Overseas, Pastor Tope Dada Pastor Julius Folorunso Ehinmode Pearce Regional Secretary, Pastor M.D. Olatunde, Ajangbadi Zonal Supt.Pastor M.O Bamise, Aguda Zonal Supt Pastor E.O.E Arasanyi,.; Pastor E.O.B Adeleke; Pastor D.O Adesina; Regional Choirmaster of Akinyele Region, Elder Bidemi (S.A.N), elder brother of the inductee and representatives of the Lagos State Christians Pilgrims Welfare Board; amongst many others. This symbolized the unity of the larger Christian community and the shared commitment to support and uplift one another.
The induction service marked a significant milestone for the congregation. It represented not just a change in leadership but also an opportunity for the church community to come together, grow in faith, and impact lives positively. As they embark on this new chapter, the congregation is filled with hope and excitement, looking forward to the bright future ahead under their devoted and compassionate leader, Pastor Ehinmode.
