The Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Calvary Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Warri, Delta State, Pastor Joe Jacobs has said repentance is a necessity for growth in the kingdom of God, imploring everyone to repent from all sins.
Giving his charge at the opening service of 2023 CAC Good Women Conference, 79th edition, Ikeji II on Wednesday August 9, 2023 holding at CAC Babalola International Miracle Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, Pastor Joe Jacobs told the women that to prove one's faith through sound doctrine one must be a changed person, things must be different from the way it used to be and something positive must happen to such.
He told the women that they must not get to a stage where repentance means nothing to them, saying that grace can't abound where sin exist.
Pastor Joe Jacobs who is the Chairman, CAC Good Women Advisory Committee further said;" you may be counting years since you have been coming to good women conference without your prayers being answered because you haven't repented."
Quoting the book of Romans chapter 4 verse 14 which says;"For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace," the Clergyman admonised the women to
let the purpose of their coming to the conference be to have a positive change to repentance.
Digging deep into Romans 1 vs. 6, the Cleric stressed that God gives people who refused to repent reprobate minds to beginning to do things that will destroy them.
"People who are ready to repent are always agent of change. If truly we have sound doctrine of the Bible, our children, neighbors and associates must see that we have change positively, they must see that something good has happened to us. When we repent we will discover that everything we need shall be added to us. We can't remain in sin, irrespective of our prayer and expect God to bless us," he added.
