In the face of cunning fables and false doctrines of men that could sway Christians off the faith, the General Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi, has charged youths to mind their minds, else they would be done for.
Expositing Matthew 7:24,25 to say there are three enemies of sound doctrine which are, wind, rain and flood, the clergyman also noted that whatever is built on the rock will stand firm.
Pastor Odejobi gave these words while giving a fatherly charge at the ongoing 2023 CAC International Youth Conference and Thanksgiving Celebration, Ikeji II conference center, echoing to the youths, "Being built on Sound doctrine, I can face Tomorrow."
Speaking specifically, "many of you might belong to the household of pastors. You are children of pastor, superintendents and so on", he said "if you mind not your mind, believe that you are done for."
Establishing his ministration on the conference text, Ephesians 2:20, the General Superintendent related that, "Elijah happened not to be the chief cornerstone. Moses is not the chief cornerstone. Moses is for Israel not for the whole world. Jesus Christ is the chief cornerstone."
The clergyman who said this in the light of Peter's revelation of Jesus, expressed that "if you place your trust on this rock, you cannot be disappointed."
Sharing how he never attended a Bible college but always attended conferences, was part of the Light of the World and CACSA societies, the cleric counselled the youths not to joke with their lives.
According to him, "among people who attended this year's conference, I need you to strive, to linger, to panting, to know Christ as the chief cornerstone built on sound doctrine so you don't fall away."
Speaking to the youths, Pastor Odejobi harped that academic certifications are not enough for sound doctrine, adding that "leave not your tomorrow upon your certificate. We thank God for your certificate. We thank God for your qualifications but don't let it be your sound doctrine."
