Pastor Oladele implores ministers to shun preaching denominationalism, self experiences, urges combat of heresies through sound doctrinal teaching

As against what is obtainable in some Christian gatherings where heresies are preached instead of the gospel of Christ, the President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele has charged ministers of the gospel not to preach denominationalism or their experiences, but the gospel of Christ and combat heresies.

Pastor Oladele implored ministers of the gospel to rise up and shut-up wrong teachings in the church, noting that heresies are anything that create division in the body of Christ.

The President stated this while ministering on the topic "Combating Modern Day Heresies" (Text: 2nd Timothy 4:1-6) at the just concluded CAC Missions Conference 2023 held at CAC All Saints'Chapel, CAC General Secretariat, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Clergyman who defined heresies as teachings or doctrines contrary to the fundamental stand of any church also said an heretic is anybody who can't be taught, adding that it's "someone whose error are not moral, but doctrinal."

On why heresies are growing, Pastor Oladele stated that heresies are growing this day because of our lukewarmness in the church and lack of emphasis on sound doctrine teaching. 

He further said that heresies are rising because of the gullibility of some Christians and the zeal heretic put in the work.

The President told the missionaries that; "as missionaries, it should be your concern when you see wrong doctrines flying around. Heresies are one of the signs of the end time. It's as ancient as the Garden of Eden. It's our duty to combat heresies in our generation. God is going to hold us accountable for what we do in our generation. One of your duties as missionaries is to fight heresies."
