"The memory of the righteous is blessed..." says the Bible and so it was yesterday evening at Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Grace, Ibadan as the church held a memorial service in honour of late spiritual juggernaut, Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere.
The service tagged "Prophet Michael Ojo Memorial Worship Service" was specially organized by the church to appreciate God for a life well spent and for generational impactful ministry of late Prophet Olowere.
Major features of the programme was inspirational hymn singing, sacred ministrations by Voices of Grace (the Church Choir); guest artists ministration by Evang. (Mrs.) Rachael Erinle, Jesus Preachers Ministry (JPM), Mrs. Williams, Evang. (Mrs.) Eniola Agboola and many others.
It was another moment of spiritual empowerment, like it was in the days of late Prophet Olowere when the CAC Director of Youth Affairs (the host), Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro shouted "Jesus !" and the congregation responded with "Power !."
While eulogising Prophet Olowere, Pastor Gbuyiro challenged the congregation to live the kind of life that will make people to praise God on their behalf.
He further urged them to engage in works that will speak after death for unborn generation to praise God on their behalf.
Earlier in the service, the Assembly Pastor of CAC Chapel of Grace, Pastor O. F. Babatunde said it is a thing of joy to God whenever we worship Him.
He noted that when we worship God, He comes down Himself because He dwells in the worship of His people.
Pastor Babatunde also said it's good to worship God wholeheartedly because there is fullness of joy in His presence.
Burial activities of late Prophet Olowere reaches its climax this week.
Service of Songs holds at CAC Oke Imole DCC headquarters, Ibadan by 4pm today Monday October 23, 2023, while "Tributes" will hold at CAC Oke-Agbara, Ashi, Ibadan on Tuesday October 24, 2023 by 4pm.
On Wednesday October 25, 2023 is a programme tagged "Evang. Bola Are with other choirs" at CAC Oke-Agbara, Ashi by 4pm, while Praise Night holds at same venue on Thursday October 26, 2023 by 7pm till dawn.
It will be Lying in State and Wake Keep Service at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan on Friday October 27, 2023 from 3pm-6pm.
Four services hold on Saturday October 28, 2023 which are; Burial Service at the residence of the late icon by 8am, interment service at CAC Oke-Agbara, Ashi by 10am, Outing Service at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba by 12noon and Reception immediately at Recreational Centre, Opposite Lekan Salami, Sabo, Ibadan.
The burial activities end with a Thanksgiving Service at CAC Oke-Agbara Ashi on Sunday October 29, 2023 by 10am.
