The retired and pioneer Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Babajide region, Pastor M. A. Ogundeji, has charged graduating students of Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS) Ile Ife, to feel from the love of money while they trust God for finances.
Speaking at the Ministerial Field Experience programme held to kickstart the 42nd convocation ceremonies of the Seminary on Monday, November 27, 2023, Pastor Ogundeji boasted that "till today, I don't have a cause to borrow anything from anybody."
Highlighting the major points to note in ministry such as humility and love, the cleric added that "you have to learn from your leaders and Pastors. As you are going, you need people who will teach and train you."
Speaking on the necessity of prayer in ministry, he explained that, "It is good to be praying. We had a group at Moore (in Ile Ife, Osun State) where we gather to pray. Pray that wherever God does not send you to the authority of the church will not send you there. You need to be praying. Pray is very important."
The Babajide region pioneer superintendent urged the graduating seminarians to be careful of how they do things because they are being watched by the public.
He noted some of the lessons to be learnt from his ministerial experience to include, having a good wife/husband who will support and do ministry; being loyal to the church authorities even when not happy; being loyal to the senior pastor; being careful of the opposite sex; placing careful caution on who to make as spiritual father or mentor; avoiding going to a place where God hasn't send; not adding anything to the name of Jesus Christ and making friends who have the fear of God.
"Let your message be about the kingdom of God, not about money or materia things," he concluded.
