You can't become instrument in God's hands without being processed, says Pastor Aluko

One of the outstanding teachers of the Word of God in Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, and Regional Superintendent of Pearce region, Pastor S. O. Aluko, has said that every Christian is an instrument in the hands of God, stating emphatically that no one just emerges without being processed. 

Speaking on God placing leaders in the church, he expressed that, "from time to time, He speaks to them (the church). He gives them Ministers after His own heart. But before such people emerged, they must have been processed."

"Are you processed? Are you being processed? You cannot just emerge because of your educational advantage. All those processes are very good, but you must be processed by God. Everyone of us will continue to be processed till He comes. As you are seated, you are an instrument in the hands of God. There's work He has to do in our lives, families and businesses," the clergyman said.

Pastor Aluko, expositing Acts 20:23-32 on the topic "Taking care of yourself and the church of God" gave this charge on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the inauguration of Christ Apostolic Church Ajangbadi Zone, and induction of Pastor M. O. Bamise as the pioneer Zonal Superintendent.

Explaining how the inductee has gone through the process of salvation and served as a worker in different departments, the cleric described that God takes people through processes before He places them on the church.

According to the regional Superintendent, only God knows how many organizations have folded up in Lagos but the church cannot die, saying that the church is rather marching on and the gates of hell has no choice than to see God at work.

On the premise that the church begins from the family, the cleric explained that God cares for His church, and because He cares for His church, He always comes up with prepared and empowered caretakers, adding that, "as long as it is the church of God, it doesn't matter the level of education. God has a way of deliberately taking care of His church. This because we are his representatives here on earth."

Charging the inductee on taking heed to himself and the church of God, he said that, "if anybody is inducted, what God is saying is that you will account for the lives of everyone under you. As long as God puts you in a place, it is a sheep qualified to be a shepherd."

Addressing the new inductee and church leaders, Pastor Aluko charged that "we have been given a responsibility to feed the children of God."

Speaking on leading the church of God, the erstwhile CAC Sunday School Director pointed that "we need a counselor. We need leaders who have done whatsoever you are doing now, or would need to do eventually. There are some things that you acquire through visions, there are some you acquire through practise."

Citing many instances of wolves in the church from his personal ministerial experience, he addressed the ministers present that wolves will come, and when they come, they are hardly destructible.

Pastor Aluko charging the clergymen, alluded to Paul's counsel in Acts 20:28 that they must take heed of themselves, meaning to mind and develop themselves.

"Your life speaks more than your utterances. You are read more than you are listened to. Many are watching us," he said.

Pastor Aluko charged that, "don't let the Spirit of 'I am the owner'destroy your life. Leaders are supposed to be very cool headed. Leaders are supposed to facilitate capacities."
