The 2024 National Youth Leaders Retreat organized by the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria & Overseas began on Wednesday April 10, 2024 at the Babalola International Memorial Camp Ground, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
The retreat with the theme 'Mandate for Leadership' had regional and centre leaders as well as presidents of campus fellowships in attendance.
One of the major highlights of yesterday's opening session was the regional report presentation by some Regional Youth Coordinators.
In his welcome address, the Director of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria & Overseas, Pastor Samson Olawale Gbuyiro gave thanks to God for the safe arrival of all participants, commending the conferees for their dedicated service all through the years, and their resolve to forge ahead despite all challenges.
Speaking further, he charged all participants to stand firm on the mandate given to them because a faint leader can not rightly and effectively lead the youths of the 21st century.
According to the Clergy, today's youth are current, but not correct, they connect, but do not collect, imploring all participants to seize the opportunity to refresh and renew their strength for greater assignments ahead.
Day one of the retreat featured reports from some selected regions of the church such as Akinyele, Essien, Akilling, Medaiyese regions among others.
Present at the retreat were the Chairman, Youth Advisory Committee and Superintendent, CAC Amuwo Odofin DCC, Pastor M. K Ehinmohde; CAC Youth Director, Pastor S. O. Gbuyiro; Assistant Director, Pastor S. O. Oke, among others
The programme continues today with different impactful sessions.
