At the recently concluded National Leaders Retreat organized by the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, the Chairman of CAC Youth Advisory Committee and Superintendent of CAC Amuwo Odofin Districts Coordinating Council (DCC), Pastor M.K Ehinmode, has said that if there would be the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, one must overcome all forms of sins.
The cleric, speaking during a prayer session on the topic "Impartation for Mandate Fulfilment" at the retreat, continued that sin destroys a man's star.
Pastor Ehinmode told his congregation that the power of sin is in its secrecy, sin is a pest, adding that when it is introduced into the grains of one's life or ministry, what will be left are chaffs.
Reading 1 Samuel 13:8-14, he said that "whoever is too big to obey divine instructions will experience a big fall just as Saul experienced a big fall off his throne".
"If sin is in one's life, the presence of the Lord will be absent, just as King Saul ruled for forty years without the ark of covenant which represented the presence of God in the land of Israel", said the Clergy.
Pastor Ehinmode further led the participants into a fervent prayer session of overcoming sin, and to receive the power for mandate fulfilment.
