The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, dedicated the newly built 5000-seater library of Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) on Friday, May 10, 2024.

Chairman of GMT Energy Resources Limited and Chairman of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO PLC), Dr. Seinde Oladapo Fadeni, donated the library.

The Dr. Seinde Oladapo Fadeni Library is a multi-million naira, three-storey building that stands out among the structures on campus and compares favorably with some of the best library buildings in first-generation universities in Nigeria.

The General Superintendent of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi, commended the donor, saying that he will receive 100 folds of what he has done, even if he was not prayed for.

He told people at the event that whatever they do for the Lord, He will offer them 100 folds and grant them eternity with Him in heaven.

Dr. Fadeni felt humbled and said he has found favor in the sight of the Lord to have built the library for the school, even though he's not a CAC member.

He recalled coming to the prayer camp to pray with CAC General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji, around 2003.

He noted that he never knew he would be a channel of blessings to the university, adding that things in life are not precedent, they are all planned by God.

The Vice Chancellor of JABU, Prof. Olasebikan Alade Fakolujo, said their relationship with Dr. Fadeni began during the 9th Convocation Ceremony of the school in 2019, where his philanthropic endeavors earned him an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Entrepreneurship.

He noted that Dr. Fadeni pledged various contributions to the university community, including the noble donation of the Dr. Seinde Oladapo Fadeni Library, monetary gifts for top graduating students, support for the Entrepreneurship and Skill Acquisition Centre, and scholarships for indigent students.

Prof. Fakolujo emphasized that one of the critical challenges facing Nigeria today is the lack of modern library facilities that support the development and strengthen the country's university education system.

He quoted Malcolm, saying, "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." The VC added that well-trained and highly skilled professionals are required to address the challenges of half-baked and unemployable graduates. Education stakeholders and policymakers need to be committed to producing highly skilled graduates to guarantee rapid economic and industrial development.

Apart from CAC President, Pastor Oladele and General Superintendent, Pastor Odejobi, the event had in attendance the General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji, General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur, Regional Superintendent of Odubanjo Region, Pastor Gideon Obiwale, Regional Superintendent of Babalola Region, Pastor Gabriel S. Dada, Superintendent of Agbara DCC, Pastor Joseph Omolola, Superintendent of Agbala-Itura DCC, Ibadan, Pastor A.O. Akinpelu, Special Assistant to CAC President, Pastor T.D. Asokeji, Special Assistant to CAC General Superintendent, Pastor Oludare Agede and many others.
