The Chairperson of Christ Apostolic Church Ministers' Wives Fellowship, Mrs. Susanna Kehinde Oladele has reminded Ministers' Wives that spiritual empowerment is of paramount importance according to the Bible.
Quoting 1st Corinthians chapter 12 verse 7, which says "the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all", Mrs. Oladele who stated this while delivering the welcome address at the 51st Ministers' Wives Fellowship Conference 2024 on Wednesday May 8, 2024 urged Ministers' Wives to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit through the conference and start manifesting the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Revealing the activities for the conference, Mrs. Oladele said; "the theme of this year's Conference is 'Spiritual Power and Gifts for the Body of Christ.' Under this theme which is the focus of our great Mission, Christ Apostolic Church for the year 2024 as God has led our Fathers, the Church Authority, we shall be blessed through soul searching and nourishing lectures that our Fathers, the Principal Officers of the Church shall deliver and the ones to be handled by our spirit and Word filled Guest lecturers. In addition to that, we shall be having share and care and workshop sessions as well as powerful prayer sessions. As you participate fully in these programmes without allowing distractions or truancies to hinder you, I am convinced that you shall really be blessed.
"We also plan to have a vocational empowerment programme, where we shall be trained on how to become self- employed. This is with a special focus on the widows with a view to financially empowering them. We have a special committee which has been saddled with the responsibility of identifying those who are eligible and qualified for this special gesture. It is our belief that the programme will go a long way in making such beneficiaries become self- dependent," she said.
Speaking to the Ministers' Wives on the ongoing project of the fellowship, she stated that; "as you may be aware, we have a project that we are handling right now on this camp ground. It is the re-construction of our food canteen. In the past, it was just a bungalow used as restaurant, but now, additional apartments are being added for the purpose of accommodation of conferees or campers on the camp ground. This is in a bid to continue to contribute our quota in solving the problem of accommodation in this conference centre. The project ought to have been completed by now, but for some constraints."
Mrs Oladele also said "in addition, the project has already gulped millions of Naira, and still requires huge sums of money for the work to be completed. I therefore urge you to co-operate with us by paying your project levies and making special donations towards the completion of the project. May the Lord continue to bless you in Jesus' name."
