Regional Coordinator, Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship (CACYOF) Akinyele Region, Pastor Olu Olorunpomi has emphasized the urgency and significance of involving youths in the end-time revival movement.
Speaking recently on the topic "Engaging Youths in the End-time revival" at an online programme on Prayer Club platform, Pastor Olorunpomi described revival as a movement beyond the confines of the church to reclaim the world from the grips of darkness.
"Revival means God reclaiming dominion over the earth, and it is imperative in these times of rampant diseases, societal unrest, and moral decay," he said.
Drawing from biblical examples and contemporary events, Pastor Olorunpomi illustrated the pressing need for revival in the face of prevalent societal challenges, stating that "today's world is plagued by diseases, demonic influences, and societal distortion but amidst these challenges, God desires, deserves, and demands His rightful place."
Highlighting the indispensable role of the church in facilitating revival, the cleric stressed that, "revival can only happen through the instrumentality of the church."
Citing biblical instances and historical revivals, he emphasized the consistent involvement of youths as catalysts of spiritual awakenings.
"In every revival throughout history, youths have played a pivotal role. From the days of Jesus to contemporary movements, young people have been at the forefront of God's transformative work," he said.
Referencing the 1930 revival that birthed the Christ Apostolic Church and revival movements in Nigeria, the Akinyele Regional Coordinator recounted how fervent prayers led to the divine selection of young individuals as vessels for revival.
According to him, "God does not overlook the youth in His plans for revival. Their passion, energy, and zeal are indispensable assets in advancing God's kingdom."
The Clergy outlined practical steps to engage youths effectively in the revival process, emphasizing the importance of education, exposure, and enlightenment to urge leaders to equip young believers with knowledge and spiritual understanding.
He said, "Empowerment is key. Young people must be empowered mentally, spiritually, and financially to fulfill their God-given potential."
Pastor Olorunpomi issued a compelling call to action, urging the church to embrace and mobilize the youths for spiritual revival.
"It is time to recognize and harness the potential of our young generation. Together, let us empower, enlist, and encourage them to be catalysts for transformation in these end times," the cleric said.
