Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Graceville, has inaugurated its Lagos assembly at Vantage Studio,Fadeyi Bus Stop, Yaba, Lagos.
This marks the third branch of CAC Graceville, following the establishment of its first branch in Abuja and the subsequent launch of its digital church.
The inaugural service held recently was a significant milestone, drawing an enthusiastic congregation eager to witness the expansion of this vibrant youth ministry.
The Set Man of CAC Graceville, Pastor Tolu-Tope Dada, expressed his joy and vision for the Lagos branch, emphasizing the church's commitment to fostering spiritual growth and community engagement among the youth.
The sermon was delivered by the Director of Research and Development, CAC Nigeria and Overseas, and District Superintendent of CAC New Covenant District, Pastor Abraham Ekebafe.
His message,titled "Striving for Results," was based on John 15:8 and resonated deeply with the congregation.
Pastor Abraham Ekebafe began by highlighting the importance of tangible results in the Christian journey.
He questioned the reasons behind establishing another assembly and why it was essential at this time and location, emphasizing that the difference lies in achieving results.
He noted that results are scarce and referred to Mark 16:15-20, where signs and miracles are integral to the kingdom of God.
Pastor Ekebafe stressed that in this kingdom, it’s not just about talk but demonstrating tangible evidence of God's power.
He referenced Acts 8:4-8, illustrating that beyond hearing the word, there is a seeing dimension to the gospel, and Acts 13:42-44, where results attracted the entire city to listen to the word.
He warned that relying solely on adverts, social media, and banners would lead to struggles, as seen in Acts 3:6-10, where gathering members by friendship and loyalty alone won’t last long, instead, members should be gathered by demonstrating results.
Pastor Ekebafe urged the congregation to insist on results and not be in a hurry to leave the prayer closets.
He referenced Romans 15:18-19, calling for the full preaching of the gospel, not just partial teachings.
In closing, he warned of the consequences of not seeking results, citing Psalm 74:7-9, where the absence of signs led to the desecration of holy places.
He implored the church to fully embrace and demonstrate the power of the gospel through tangible results.
