The joy of the atmosphere cannot be overemphasized on Saturday July 6, 2024 at the inauguration of Christ Apostolic Church Ibarapa Zone, Igboora, Oyo State and induction of Pastor & Evang. (Mrs.) Elijah Akinade Oluwaseun Aderibigbe as pioneer Zonal Superintendent.
It was a day of divine fulfillment as ministers and members of the church gathered to witness the historic feat.
The service was coordinated by the Regional Superintendent of CAC Babalola Region, Pastor G. S. Dada who alongside few of the officers of the region inaugurated the zone and administered the induction rites. Officers of the Region who jointly partook in the inauguration and induction with the Regional Superintendent are the Regional Secretary of Babalola Region, Pastor A.O. Akinpelu; Regional Treasurer of Babalola Region, Pastor M.K Oloruntoba and Superintendent of CAC Yemetu DCC, Pastor J.O. Awotunde.
One of the major highlights of the service was the presentation of awards to Ministers and members who have immensely contributed their quotas to the growth of the church from its inception in 1939 till date.
The Zonal choir, Good Women choir and Royal Shepherd further added glamour to the service through their powerful ministrations and parade.
Ministering on the topic "The Grace for Leadership and Its Burden" taking his text from Numbers chapter 27 vs. 15-23, the Regional Superintendent of Babalola Region, Pastor Dada said before one can attain the position of leadership, he must count the cost and think of the burden.
He also said that a leader must be full of the Spirit of God, adding that; "if you put someone who doesn't have the Spirit of God as a leader in the church, he may use fetish power. Leadership demands that we should have the Spirit of God."
Pastor Dada further noted that apart from having the Spirit of God, a leader must be a good administrator.
The Clergyman implored leaders to ask for wisdom, noting that it is surpassing wisdom that one can use to do the work of the ministry.
On the principle of sowing and reaping in the ministry, Pastor Dada stated that at times in the ministry, one may not reap where he or she has sowed.
He told Pastor Aderibigbe, "you are in the season of planting and nurturing. You are in the season of planting more churches and nurturing the ones you have."
According to him, the leadership of the church didn't make mistake for sending Pastor Aderibigbe to Ibarapa Zone, admonishing the church that it's their responsibility to take care of their ministers, give them words of encouragements and gifts without minding how small.
Earlier in the service, the Zonal Secretary of CAC Ibarapa Zone, Pastor I.A. Oyadokun said Pastor Aderibigbe has displayed calmness, good initiatives and he is somebody who is loaded for Christ, adding that all the members are convinced that with Christ Jesus in him, they are sure of success.
He told ministers and members of the zone that Pastor Aderibigbe needs their cooperation for him to achieve his conceived mission and vision, and to bring them to reality.
Pastor Oyadokun called on all and sundry for spiritual and moral support to move the zone forward and to keep it standing tall in midst of other zones in Christ Apostolic Church.
