President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele has lauded the commitment of CAC Music Ministers on providing good and godly music to the church, reassuring continued support for the ministry.

Represented by his Special Assistant, Pastor T. D. Asokeji, the President made these declarations in his address yesterday at the opening session of the CAC International Music Ministers' Conference 2024 ongoing at Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State.

Congratulating the participants for making it to this year's International Conference, the President explained that part of the commitment of the Church Authority was the recent appointment of Elder Theophilus Adekunle Oyesanya SAN, as the Music Director, and the confirmation of the appointment of the immediate past Music Director, Pastor Tope Dada, as Director of Administration.

He described the new Music Director as not only a learned silk, knowledgeable and proficient in music, but a man of character, "deep conviction in and commitment to God, blessed with immense wisdom and humility, impeccable character, unquestionable loyalty to leadership and a bearer of the value of Christ Apostolic Church."

"We have no doubt that he will represent us well before you and vice versa. Therefore, we pray that he will succeed in leading you and improving on the standard that has been established by his predecessor," he said.

Speaking to the music ministers, the CAC President who described music as playing a pivotal role being the oil that lubricates Christian worship, said a minister of God who is wise will not truffle with the music ministry.

On the conference theme "Harnessing Musical Talents within the Body of Christ" which aligns with the corporate theme of the church for the year "Spiritual Power and Gifts for the Body of Christ", Pastor Oladele noted that "music is generally known as a medium through which messages are conveyed from a source to a recipient(s) for information, education, or entertainment."

He then admonished that, "for the Christian, it is a gift from God and it's meant to be a tool for Edification - to build the Church; and for Evangelism - to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a dying world."

The clergyman charged that the music ministers be "reminded, or made to know, that our musical gifts and talents are not for merchandise or self-aggrandisement but that by them we may profit God by building His Church and winning souls into His Kingdom."

"I wish you fruitful deliberations in this conference and pray that you will have definite encounter with the God of our Fathers here on this mountain of covenant. May the Lord bless you, in Jesus's Name," Pastor Oladele concluded.
