Regional Superintendent of CAC Medaiyese Region, Pastor Gabriel Aboderin administering the induction rite
The authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Oversea, on Sunday, 21st July, 2024 inducted Pastor Paul Uchechukwu Okpoko as the 2nd Zonal Superintendent of CAC Glory Zone, Abuja.
The church authority was represented by Medaiyese Regional Superintendent Pastor G. A. Aboderin, who inducted the zonal superintendent.
The Regional Superintendent, Pastor G. A. Aboderin arrived with his entourage few minutes past 11:00am. Present to welcome him were the Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Paul Uchechukwu Okpoko, the District Superintendents in the zone and other ministers.
The Regional Superintendent inspected the guard of honor mounted by the Royal Shepherd and was led to the church auditorium.
The Praise and Worship was led by the zonal choir, followed by the opening hymn coordinated by DS Pastor Solomon Fatunbi. The Royal Shepherd had their color parade, which was followed by opening prayer led by DS Pastor M. O. Adelusi. The lesson, Matthew 25:14-30 was read by Ag. DS Pastor S. F. Adesiyan.
The introduction of guest was conducted by the zonal secretary Elder Folorunso Agbeja, while the regional superintendent was introduced by the zonal superintendent. The welcome address was read by the zonal secretary.
The Zonal Good Women choir gave a welcome song to welcome the zonal superintendent and his beloved wife. The citation was read by the Assistant zonal secretary Evangelist Akin Akande.
The induction of the zonal superintendent was conducted by Medaiyese Regional Superintendent, Pastor G. A. Aboderin who later handed him over to the zonal executives. The zonal choir gave their special rendition.
Pastor Paul Uchechukwu Okpoko is a seasoned, detribalized and well-traveled minister as revealed by his citation anchored by Evangelist Akin Akande. He was born in the south-west though of south-east origin and had worked in various capacities in almost all the geographical zone of the country.
The sermon was preached by the Regional Superintendent, Pastor Aboderin, titled “Stewardship.” He said all Christian must recognize that we have been called to be a steward, it is in knowing this that our lives can have meaning.
He encouraged the zone to know that it is part of our stewardship to take good care of the inducted superintendent and other ministers in the zone, adding that;"as ministers of God you must know that God has an expectation on you. The members must be well fed spiritually and cared for. The members are not your enemies."
Pastor Aboderin exhorted the congregation, noting that current events are unfolding in fulfillment of scriptural prophecies. He urged everyone to prepare for the imminent return of Jesus Christ our Lord. Following his message, Pastor Ajayi, Superintendent of Suleja DCC, offered a prayer, seeking divine guidance and strength in light of this timely reminder.
The presentation of gifts to the zonal superintendent was directed by ag DS Pastor Adesiyan, followed by donations toward the development of the zone.b
CAC Glory Zone Abuja comprises five districts namely, Victory District, Favour District, Dominion District, Bethel District and Rock of Salvation District. The occasion was graced by many dignitaries among are Pastor Ade Ajayi (Suleja DCC Superintendent, Pastor Oloruntoba (Zuba Zonal Superintendent) Pastor Jacob Oyedokun ( Favour district superintendent), Pastor M. O. Adelusi ( Dominion district superintendent), Pastor Solomon Fatunbi ( Bethel district superintendent), Pastor S. F. Adesiyan (Acting district superintendent of Rock of salvation district), Pastors from each district, members of CAC Mountain of Power, Rafinseyin District.
There were other dignitaries as follows DS Pastor E. O. Oladejo, DS Pastor Jayeola, DS Pastor Elelu Olatunde, DS Pastor John Omotosho, DS Pastor F. S. Johnson etc.
