Pastor Zacchaeus Olatunji A. Olokesusi has been inducted the Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Ibadan Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Agbokojo, Ibadan by the authority of the church.
He was inducted by the Regional Superintendent of CAC Babalola Region, Pastor G.S. Dada who represented the church authority at the service held on Saturday July 13, 2024.
In his message titled "Rediscovery of the Word", Pastor Dada emphasized the importance of relying on God's word for revival.
He noted that the church is currently in a state of darkness, and only God's word can bring deliverance. He charged the newly inducted Superintendent, Pastor Olokesusi, to rediscover the Word of God and lead God's people back to Him.
Pastor Dada observed that in today's era, people often prefer virtual worship, neglecting physical gatherings and the Word of God.
BIOGRAPHY OF PASTOR OLOKESUSI
Pastor Zacchaeus Olatunji Olokesusi hails from the Asolo compound in Oraye quarters of Ise-Ekiti. He was born on Thursday 15th of September, 1960 into the family of Late Mr. John Oladipupo and Mrs. Eunice Oloruntola Olokesusi.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
The little boy Zacchaeus Olokesusi started his primary education at age 7, at St. Stephen's of Ise-Ekiti in 1967. Unfortunately, his schooling was obstructed by an unforeseen contingency. This resulted in an abrupt break in his primary education for about three years. Providentially however, he was able to go back and obtain his primary leaving certificate at L. A. Primary school, Ise-Ekiti in 1976. Zacchaeus Olatunji gained entry into St. John's Secondary Modern school of Ise-Ekiti in 1977.
In 1983, Pastor Olokesusi proceeded to Christ Apostolic Church Teachers College, Efon-Alaaye in Ekiti State to satisfy his hunger for formal education. To the glory of God he completed his training in 1985. Two years later, he joined the Nigerian Army. This decision was due to a dream he had of God telling him to pick up a gun and fight.
In 1992, Pastor Olokesusi enrolled in the Babajide School of Prophets & Evangelists, Ilesa. Thereafter, he proceeded to CACTS, Idimu Lagos for Diploma in Theology between 2004-2006. He was a student leader during his time there.
CALL & MINISTRY
In 1987, on his military troupe in Zaria, Pastor Z.O. Olokesusi heard the voice of God asking him, "did I ask you to carry a physical gun or the spiritual gun? He immediately knew God was calling him into the ministry, but kept on resisting the voice each and every time of the encounter until he became strongly convinced by series of constant divine revelation.
Eventually, Pastor Olokesusi obeyed the Lord and finally left the military to answer the divine call into the ministry in the same year of 1987. Being denied an admission into the CAC Seminary, Ile-ife, he came to Ibadan heralding the gospel round about the city.
Pastor Olokesusi forthwith started his ministerial tutelage under Baba Alayerni (late) at the Assembly called CAC Oke-Anu at Amuda-Ojere, Ojoo, Ibadan. Two years after this, Pastor Olokesusi joined co-efforts of clergy to plant CAC Garden of Wonders in Ado-Ekiti. In 1993, he became the Evangelist of CAC Ogo Oluwa, Okerewu, llofa. There, he was consecrated a freelance evangelist for the section C by the former General Evangelist, Late Pastor J.A. Alokan. After his pastoral training at Ile Ife, he was ordained as Pastor by the Authority of Christ Apostolic Church in 1995.
On May 3rd, 1997 Pastor Olokesusi upon divine directive left llofa to plant CAC Land of Covenant, Ibadan, which further gave birth to four daughter-churches. Consequently, Pastor Z.O. Olokesusi got promoted to a District Superintendent by CAC Authority in the year 2006.
As a Pastor, and District Superintendent, Zacchaeus Olatunji Olokesusi served faithfully and meticulously under Pastor M.AAdeoye, Pastor Fadipe, Pastor M.O. Oyepetun, Pastor Emmanuel, Pastor Adetore, and Pastor S.A. Omosanya all in Ibadan DCC.
CAREER/HOBBIES
A prophet and evangelist per excellence, Z. O. Olokesusi enjoyed the godly nurture of his grandmother Mrs Lydia Aderomose Olokesusi- the then lya Ijo of CAC Oke- Isegun, eyin ogbe, Ise-Ekiti whom he stayed with right from childhood. He became a member of the choir, and later a Sunday School Teacher in the same church.
The illustrious Olatunji Olokesusi worked as a storekeeper in 1979-1981, auxiliary teacher in 1981-1982, and joined the military in 1987.
Pastor Olokesusi has a speck for driving, preaching, farming, and travelling. He has travelled to countries in the continent of Africa and other parts of the world.
Up to the time of his elevation, Pastor Olokesusi served in Ibadan DCC as the Chairman of the Finance committee for ten years. He also served as the Coordinator of the DCC Evangelical Committee.
All to the glory of God, on November 1st, 2023 PASTOR Z.O. OLOKESUSI was appointed by the Authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria & Overseas as the IBADAN DCC SUPERINTENDENT, after the retirement of Pastor S.A. Omosanya, while hereinafter assumed membership of the General Executive Council.
MARRIAGE
Zacchaeus O. Olokesusi got married to his dear wife L/Evang. Olusola Grace Olokesusi in November, 1989 and the union is blessed with wonderful children.
