Pastor Nicholas Ikefuama Inducted as 4th Regional Superintendent of CAC Olutimehin Region

The authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas has inducted Pastor Nicholas Ikefuama as the 4th Regional Superintendent of CAC Olutimehin Region.

The event took place on July 28, 2024, at the Olutimehin Regional Headquarters, CAC Mount of Miracle, Mile 3, Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The Olutimehin Region encompasses four states: Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom, with its headquarters located in Port Harcourt.

General Superintendent of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Emmanuel O.  Odejobi who alongside the General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur represented the church authority conducted the induction service. The service also had in attendance retired Regional Superintendent of CAC Medaiyese Region, Pastor G. C. Osuigbo, Director of Christian Education, Pastor (Dr.) S. O Falade and many others. 

The service featured high praise, an opening hymn, and a lesson taken by Pastor Akpabio. The welcome address was delivered by Regional Secretary and Akwa Ibom DCC Superintendent, Pastor S. Essien. Mr. Ikefuama, son of Pastor Nicholas Ikefuama, presented the citation of his father.

The climax of the service was the induction of Pastor Nicholas Ikefuama, conducted by the General Superintendent, Pastor Odejobi and assisted by General Secretary, Pastor Mapur. The ministers and members were encouraged to support the newly inducted Regional Superintendent.

In his sermon, Pastor Odejobi emphasized the importance of repentance, citing Matthew 3:2, "Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand." He also stressed the need for unity in Nigeria, advocating for a redesigned national logo to reflect the country's unity. He concluded by quoting Psalms 133:1, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity."

The General Superintendent emphasize on the unity of Nigeria, that Nigeria need someone who have the ability to go before us with good attitude and the fear of God. He urged all of us to always pray for the Government of Nigeria ably led by Ahmed Bola Tinubu. 

The Clergyman advocate for the redesign of Nigeria logo in order to reflect through unity. The present Nigeria logo having two standing horses with an eagle resting on them should be redesign to have three standing horses (representing the three major tribes in Nigeria) carrying Nigeria; without any eagle.

That, this is a through representation of the unity of Nigeria. He also emphasized on the motto of CAC which is "one fold one shepherd". He asked, "are we really one in deed? If we are one, we should have the same mindset as for the task commissioned into our hand, rather than divergence views."

He concluded the message by quoting from Psalms 133:1 "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity". That is to have one mind in all things.

The induction service included a general thanksgiving, presentation of gifts, and prayers for the Regional Superintendent and his family. Dignitaries from across Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River states attended the occasion.
