It was a historic day on Sunday, July 28, 2024, when the authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, inducted Pastor S.O. Omotosho as the 4th Superintendent of CAC Araromi Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Osogbo, Osun State.
Pastor Omotosho was inducted by Regional Superintendent of CAC Orogun Region, Pastor E.S. Famuyide who represented the church authority and administered the induction rite.
CAC Araromi DCC comprises five districts and three Centres which are CAC Oke Isegun district, CAC Oluwatedo district, CAC Oke irapada district, CAC Kolasinu district, and CAC Mount Zion District. The centres are CAC Oke Imuse Ileri, CAC Oke Ibukun, Ibukun Oluwa and CAC Mount Deliverance.
While delivering the welcome address, the DCC Secretary of CAC Araromi DCC, Pastor (Dr.) M.O. Akande said that the induction of Pastor Omotosho marked another mileage in the annals of CAC Araromi DCC, explaining that the DCC has so far enjoyed the grace of God under three successive administration of God’s general.
He further explained that;"Araromi DCC was first led under the leadership of Pastor J.O. Igbokwe who was the first DCC superintendent, this is followed by Pastor M.O. Ayetan and the recently retired DCC superintendent Pastor J. Olu Agbabiaka who retired in 2023. The era of these leaders witness various level of development for the church. Today however, we are officially crossing over to the fourth administrative year in the calendar of our DCC. We therefore welcome our fourth substantive DCC Superintendent & His wife, Pastor (Dr) Sam & Lady Evangelist (Mrs) Jane Abosede Omotosho into our midst officially."
According to him, Araromi DCC headquarters is one of the foremost CAC churches in Osogbo land, it ranked number 3 in Osogbo land.
Pastor Akande stated further that the headquarter church is renowned for her love for revival and words-based programme, adding that worshippers in Araromi are lovable, kind and humane, but there is no church without her peculiarities.
"To all and sundry who gather here today, we must know that the induction of a minister over a church is not just a ceremonial act, it is rather a divine appointment which signifies a fresh chapter in the life of the church. It is a beginning of a new era for spiritual growth and development. We therefore believe that God has specifically chosen his servant Pastor SO Omotosho to be the one who will steer the ship of this DCC to the next level.
"Going through the resume of the new DCC Superintendent, it is very clear that the authority of the church was intentional in posting our new Superintendent to us. The educational and the spiritual qualifications are top-notched and in equilibrium. It falls into the demand and the need of the DCC at this particular time. Educationally, Our DCC superintendent has acquired basic theological and secular education to a height of possessing his PhD. He bagged his Bachelor of Arts in University of Ibadan, his master in University of Ilorin. He was also a graduate of PCCE in USA while he bagged his PhD in Lagos.Our new DCC Superintendent has also served as Lecturer in Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary Lagos, Ile-Ife and Ilesa campuses," he noted.
Pastor Omotosho has worked in assemblies such as CAC Oke itura Fate, Ilorin (1989-1994), CAC English Assembly, University road Ilorin,CAC Oke Isegun Taiwo road, Ilorin (1994-1999), CAC Victory Chapel Taiwo, Ilorin (1995-1999),CAC Oke Igbala, Ketu Lagos (1999-2003), CAC Gospel land, Jakande Estate Isolo, Lagos (2004-2014), CAC Fountain of Life District Headquarters, Minna, Niger State (2015-2017), CAC Oke Igbala District Headquarters, Efon-Alaaye, Ekiti State (2017-2019),
CAC Mountain of Blessings Kwali, Zonal Headquarters Abuja (2019-2023) and CAC Oke Isegun Araromi Dcc Headquarters, Osogbo, Osun State (2024-till date).
