Director of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro, has told Christ Apostolic youths that the hope of the world hangs on Christians, charging them to deliver their God-given responsibilities.

In his charge at the opening session of the 2024 International Youth Conference and Thanksgiving Celebrations, Ikeji 3 Conference center (comprising Oyo, Osun, Edo and Delta States), Pastor Gbuyiro exhorted the youths from Acts 1:8 on the topic "Ye shall receive".

On the 2024 International Youth Conference themed "Maximizing the Ministry of the Holy Spirit", Pastor Gbuyiro charged the audience that "of the things God wants us to do this year, it is the need to receive. This is the promise Jesus left with his disciples."

"For us, Christ Apostolic Church youths, it means more to us, especially in our gathering in this year's conference. The reason is because this generation is groaning, and this generation is expecting so much from us because God has strategically placed us in this generation to be who God wants us to be and discharge God-given responsibilities," he said.

Explaining that "the expectation of our generation from us are enough to convince us that only a heart that is filled with burden to encounter the Lord can maximize the privilege that God has given to us," the Director said that "the hope of this generation, the hope of the world is hanging on believers."

He also told the youths that, "in our gathering this year, God is not ready to respond to noise, it is expected that everyone God has granted grace to be in our conference this year, must come with a burden."

"If you must give, you must have. If you must have, you must receive. Having has to do with receiving," the cleric charged.

He furthered that by redemption, every child of God is divinely positioned to meet the needs of this generation, so much that "in this kind of conference, a genuine child of God should be thirsty and express hunger to receive from the Lord because our generation is waiting on us."

Decrying that the world has become bitter and sweetness will only come from nowhere else but from children of God, the CAC Youth Director stressed that there's a demand from believers to give the world directives.

"There's no other thing we should concentrate on doing now, especially in this gathering, than to receive from the Lord," he told the youths.

According to him, "Jesus said you shall receive, because you have responsibility to give salt, direction, possibilities. And you can only give what you have. God is saying this conference is put together for those who are thirsty."

He also stated that "the challenge of this message is the challenge of showing our willingness and readiness of receiving. God expects everyone to be intentional in creating space in our hearts to receive Him."

Pastor Gbuyiro told the youths that, "for every manifestation of the flesh, for every gift of the flesh, there is a gift of he Spirit. For Jesus to live within you, Satan must vacate your life."
