The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, has urged the church's youths, stating that their generation is crucial to the church's survival and future growth.

Pastor Oladele who exposited 1 Timothy 4:1ff on the topic "Features of the Last Days" charged the youths at the 2024 International Youth Conference and Thanksgiving Celebrations, Ikeji 3 Conference center (comprising Oyo, Osun, Edo and Delta states).

He charged on the dangers of the end times, and the need to contend for the Christian faith in this generation.

To the youthful congregation at the conference held at CAC Babalola International Memorial and Miracle Camp, Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State on Thursday, September 5, 2024, the CAC President highlighted that the dangers of the end times will birth many things.

According to him, "the end-time will be a period of great moral danger. Things and people will be morally dangerous."

"It is a period when there will be indifference on the truth. People want to contend for ordination, contend for promotion, but how many people want to contend for the faith?" he said.

Pastor Oladele furthered that, "Christianity is not a fancy. You cannot practice it the way you like. It is a tradition, but not tradition as in ecclesiastical rigidity but that which the Lord has delivered to His disciples. This is what to contend for. By traditionally, it refers to a kind of set rules that cannot be eroded."

"The faith handed down by the Lord was what Paul contended for and we must continue with it," he said.

Amidst the ongoing realities of the end-time events, the clergyman told the youths that, "every generation is strategic. Your generation is very strategic to the survival of the church. That is why you have to be serious."

Continuing that "these last days which we live will be conspicuous for abounding iniquity. Today we have all sorts of promiscuous practices" the President admonished the youths that "you are not too young to be a king for the Lord, to be a champion."

Stating that orthodoxy, lukewarmness, apostasy, iniquity are the bad news of the endtime events, he stated that the good news is that God says He will pour out His Spirit on all flesh.

"The promise of the Holy Spirit was not the exclusive rights of the people of Israel because the Bible says not only they who are of the commonwealth of Israel. The Holy Spirit did not come upon the twelve alone, that is what I call the two democracy of Israel."
