The Christ Apostolic Church, Mt. Zion 1, New England Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC) headquarters, Mattapan, USA, hosted a retirement service for Associate Pastor Ted Ibezim Okere on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
The service for Pastor Okere was a quintessential 5-in-1 celebration, commemorating five significant milestones: his 70th birthday, 50th anniversary of salvation, 38th wedding anniversary, 35 years of dedicated church service, and retirement from active ministry.
The service was officiated by New England DCC Superintendent and Senior Pastor of CAC Mt. Zion 1, Pastor R.O. Adeagbo.
Pastor Okere has spent his lifetime serving in music ministry, holding esteemed roles such as Choirmaster of CAC Mt. Zion 1, inaugural Choirmaster of New England DCC, and most recently, Supervising Minister of the New England DCC Mass Choir.
The Celebrant has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the Latunde Region choir, selflessly contributing his time, talent, and voice to proclaim the Gospel of Christ.
As Pastor Okere transitions into retirement, he is joined by his wife, Deaconess Celestina Okere, who has faithfully served alongside him, distinguishing herself in leadership roles within the Ministers' Wives Fellowship and Evangelism team at their home church.
Deaconess Celestina Okere's beautiful spirit, marked by humility and compassion, will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her. As the Okere family prepares to return to Nigeria in November, they leave behind a legacy of love and service.
The service had in attendance District Superintendents, Pastors and other ministers of God.
