The Authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas has inaugurated Christ Apostolic Church, Wondercity Zone, Ogolonto, Ikorodu, as Zonal Coordinating Council, and Pastor Emmanuel Adekunle Adebayo inducted as its pioneer Zonal Superintendent.
The inauguration and induction service, which coincided with the 50th birthday celebration of both the inductee and his wife, Evang. (Mrs.) Rebecca Olufunke Adebayo, held at the Church Auditorium on Sunday, September 22, 2024, attracted all and sundry who witnessed the occasion of appreciation and expression of love for the celebrants.
In what seems like a promotion for the Minister and advancement for the Church, the track record of Pastor Adebayo and the testimonies that trailed him, point to hardwork and service unto God, demonstrated at different capacities since he was born again.
Superintendent of CAC Akinyele region, Pastor S. A. Adedayo who administered the inauguration and induction rites, charged the congregation and inductee on various responsibilities demanded of them as stated in the Bible.
In his sermon titled 'Feed the Sheep', Pastor Adedayo charged all Ministers of the Gospel and the inducted Zonal Superintendent on rightly dividing the word of truth.
He said many Ministers of the Gospel are not rightly dividing the word of truth leading to great consequences.
"A sheep that's not properly fed would look malnourished and unhealthy. Therefore, as a Minister of the Gospel, it's your responsibility to ensure the Sheep of God are well fed with the word of God."
Referencing Ephesians 5:25, Pastor Adedayo said "the Sheep of God are to be well-fed because Christ so much loves His church that He gave himself up for her."
Pastor Adedayo furthered that "you feed the sheep of God by declaring the counsel of God to them through teaching, preaching, prayer, evangelism, counseling, visitation, and rebuking. A well-fed sheep of God is one of the signs that a minister is rightly carrying out his duties", he said.
The Superintendent of CAC Ikorodu DCC, Pastor Lawrence Akinloye commended the inductee for being a faithful, humble, and hardworking colleague in the ministry, urging him to remain steadfast.
It was indeed a dancing galore as the Good Women Choir and the Zonal choir ministered in songs.
Another highlight of the program was the presentation of a car gift from the Wondercity Zone to Pastor and Evang. Mrs. Adebayo, while joyfully receiving other gifts from all and sundry who attended event.
Declaring his gratitude to God, Pastor Adebayo also ppreciated the church authority for the honor of responsibility bestowed on him, promising never to let them down.
Aside from the Regional Superintendent of Akinyele region, Pastor S. A. Adedayo, also in attendance at the event were, the Superintendent, CAC Ikorodu DCC, Pastor Lawrence Akinloye; Superintendent, CAC Life and Power Zone, Pastor Mich ‘Tunji Oladapo; Superintendent CAC Owutu Zone, Pastor Festus Oluwadele; all District Superintendents within the zone; Aspiring Chairman, Ikorodu West L.C.D.A, Hon. Sesan Dada; Baale, Ogolonto Community, Chief O.Y.O. Fatola; among many others.
