Heavenly shower of harmonies, abundance of sacred sounds at 50th Choir Festival of CAC Mountain of Light Zonal

Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Light Zonal Headquarters radiated with melodies and harmonies as the Choir celebrates its 50th Annual Choir Festival & Thanksgiving on Sunday, 20th October, 2024

Mr. Ezekiel Babalola displayed his musical prowess on the organ in a mini concert which preluded the main concert.

With songs by music legends such as G.F. Handel, Mozart, Caleb Simper and Ayodamope Oluranti, the choir affirmed their musical affiliation with the Royal School of Church Music, Cleveland Lodge, Surrey, Unitek Kingdom.

Mr. Adeyemi Ojo and Elder Olusegun Akinloye conducted the choir in songs such as ‘Thou Crownest the year’ by Caleb Simper; ‘Iba Aseda’, ‘Gbori s’oke’ arranged by Ayodamope Oluranti, ‘O father whose Almighty power’, ‘Lift up your heads’, ‘Hallelujah’ by G.F. Handel;

Blessing Towolawi and Lola Fajuyi also delivered inspiring Solo performances on ‘Olorun Ife’ by Ayo Ajayi and ‘I’ll walk with God’ by Niceolas Brodszky respectively.

The Choir Master, Elder Olusegun Akinloye appreciated all attendees for their show of love and support.

He informed the congregation that the second phase of the Festival continues next Sunday, 27 October, 2024 by 4pm at the church auditorium, with traditional style of music to be enjoyed.

The festival was graced by family and friends, and dignitaries including the Superintendent, CAC Mountain of Light Zone, Pastor Ezekiel Omologe; Associate Pastor, Pastor Stephen Olarubofin; Curate, Pastor Olusegun Akinjimi; Music Director of Akinyele Region, Elder Sesan Taiwo; Music Director of Akilling Region, Pastor (Dr.) Tosin Akinpelu; Immediate Past Choir Master of CAC Yaba DCC, Elder S.K Annan; Secretary, Akinyele Regional Choir, Elder Jerry Awofodun; past members of the Choir; and many others.
