By Pastor I.A. Adetutu
The Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Odi-Olowo Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos made this assertion at the maiden workers training of the DCC.
Pastor Ogungbenjo held that excellence is the desire of God for His children but it doesn't come automatically without paying required prize.
The cleric in his address tittled : 'becoming a skilful church workers in the 21st century church' affirmed that one of the things that make people excel in their chosen careers and ministries is skills acquisition.
He declared that God is not looking for mere workers but proficient and excellent workers like skilful David who excelled as a musician, shepherd, soldier and a king per excellence.
Pastor Ogungbenjo told the workers that the leadership of the Church, particularly the president, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele is not comfortable with workers whose performances can not meet up with the trend of time.
He concluded that gifts alone is not enough to succeed without adequate training to develop it and make it efficient, proficient and profitable.
