The newly appointed Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Igando Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos, Pastor (Dr.) Stephen Oluwatoyin Ajayi, has emphasized that love is the greatest need of the church.
Pastor Ajayi said this while ministering at a welcome service held in his honour on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Igando DCC headquarters.
Pastor Ajayi who resumes officially as the Superintendent C.A.C Igando DCC appealed to all ministers and members of the congregation to dwell in love.
The cleric stated that members of the church in Corinth were highly gifted yet there were strifes and conflicts among them.
Quoting from 1st. Cor.13:1-13, the man of God told the congregation like Apostle Paul to the Corinthians that any gift ministry or activity that doesn't has love as motive and basis is not of God.
He said while it is good and expected to have several gifts in the church, those gifts are in vain without love.
Pastor Ajayi concluded that no man exists without a weakness but love offers forgiveness, tolerance, trust, endurance and perseverance for brethren to dwell together in unity.
The service was well attended by ministers and members of the congregation including family and children of Pastor Ajayi.
