Newly appointed Regional Superintendent of CAC Orekoya Region, Pastor K.B. Yunana
Christ Apostolic Church, Orekoya Region, on Friday, 29th November 2024 held welcome service for her newly appointed Regional Superintendent, Pastor Kilyobas B. Yunana.
Pastor Yanana, who is the second Regional Superintendent of Orekoya, succeeds the pioneer Regional Superintendent, Pastor C.S.A. Balogun, who retired in October after reaching the mandatory 75 years of age of retirement, according to the constitution of the church. The Orekoya Region, with its headquarters in Jos, Plateau State, oversees all CAC assemblies in Bauchi, Benue, Nassarawa, and Plateau states.
The Welcome Service, held at the regional headquarters in Jos brought together members who gathered to honor and celebrate the new chapter in the Region’s journey.
The service began with the Royal Shepherds Procession and a celebratory parade. The scripture reading from John 13:34-35 emphasized Jesus’ commandment to love one another, setting the spiritual tone for the event.
In his welcome address, the Regional Secretary, T.D. Mashem, acknowledged Pastor Yunana’s impressive track record of service and leadership.
He also commended the outgoing superintendent, Pastor C.S.A. Balogun, for laying a strong foundation for the Region since its establishment on 1st January 2022.
Pastor Mashem expressed confidence in Pastor Yunana’s ability to build on this legacy, lead the Region toward growth through evangelism and church planting, and urged members to support him with their dedication and prayers.
Pastor Kilyobas B. Yunana delivered an exhortation after being welcomed to the podium with a ministration by the choir. He expressed his gratitude to the President, Pastor S.O. Oladele, for his inclusive and visionary leadership, and he appreciated his predecessor Pastor C.S.O Balogun for his love and dedication.
The Cleric spoke about the importance of love among brethren, emphasizing that genuine love reflects Christ’s sacrifice for humanity.
He encouraged members to face challenges with the spirit of love and unity, reminding them that love is vital for the church’s growth and harmony.
The event also included updates and introductions of dignitaries and church leaders. In his closing remarks, Pastor Yunana expressed heartfelt appreciation to all attendees and reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the Region. The service concluded with a resounding hymn, the watchword, and a benediction.
The Welcome Service of the 2nd Regional Superintendent highlighted the unity and dedication of the Orekoya family. It marked the beginning of a new era under Pastor Kilyobas B. Yunana, whose leadership is anticipated to bring growth, unity, and spiritual renewal to the Region. The event served as a reminder of God’s faithfulness and the importance of love within the church.
