Christian couples have been urged to emulate the life of Jesus Christ, as the key to building a strong, beautiful, and enduring marriage.
This timely advice was offered by President of Royal Home Foundation International, Evangelist Mrs. Deborah Abimbola-Akanbi during the 2024 Royal Couples' Banquet, which took place recently in Lagos.
The Royal Couples' Banquet, an annual event inaugurated in 2018 by Royal Home Foundation International, serves as a unique gathering for couples from diverse backgrounds. The event aims to foster a deeper understanding of God's design for marriage, empowering couples to build strong, fulfilling relationships.
The 2024 Royal Couples' Banquet, themed 'JESUS IN MY HOME', was a resounding success, filled with joy, love, and celebration. Notably, the event coincided with the wedding anniversary of the convener, Evangelist Mrs. Deborah Abimbola-Akanbi, and her husband, Elder Oluyinka Abimbola Akanbi, affectionately referred to as her 'Super Man'.
Addressing the couples, Evangelist Abimbola-Akanbi emphasized that a Godly and beautiful marriage can only be built by couples who consistently live according to God's Word, regardless of life's circumstances. She encouraged them to continually fill their homes with the Word of God, fostering a strong spiritual foundation for their relationships.
She further counselled them to remain ever connected to God (John 15:5-8) and they have opportunity to renew their marital vow.
