Christ Apostolic Church, Palace of Jubilation District, Oshodi Zone, Lagos, on Sunday 8th December, 2024 marked a momentous occasion with a triple celebration: the inauguration of the district, the induction of its pioneer superintendent, Pastor Samuel Kehinde Oyeleye and the 13th anniversary thanksgiving of the headquarters.

The event, held at the church, was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including the CAC Oshodi Zonal Superintendent, Pastor F.F. Daramola, PhD, who officiated the inauguration and induction ceremonies.

Musical ministrations by the district choir, Evang. Mrs. Dada, and Evang. Mrs. Ejirooghene Oyeleye, wife of the Inductee charged the atmosphere for the triple celebration service.

The event commemorated the district headquarters humble beginning in 2011, when the church was inaugurated under the guidance of several prominent ministers, including Reverend Dr. S.A.A. Olaide of First Baptist Church, Iyana Ipaja, Pastor Shalom Oshifolarin (CACTS Lagos), and Pastor Femi Popoola, among others. The first service was held just a week later with 12 members in attendance, including representatives from First Baptist Church, Iyana Ipaja.

The Oshodi Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Daramola delivered a profound three-in-one sermon. First, addressing the newly inducted District Superintendent, Pastor Oyeleye, he urged him to "be more committed" to the service of the Lord, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a good reputation, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and possessing divine wisdom. Drawing from Acts 6:7, he reminded the Superintendent that "when you're committed, the gospel would spread through you."

Also, Pastor Daramola encouraged the congregation with a call to "Rise up to your responsibility," urging members to regularly attend services, actively participate, and submit to the leadership of their pastors. "A tree cannot make a forest," he noted, referencing Hebrews 10:25-26, stressing that each individual's contribution is crucial for the growth of the church.

He also emphasized the importance of caring for the pastor and his family, citing scriptural references like 1 Timothy 5:18 and Deuteronomy 25:4.

Finally, in celebrating the church's 13th anniversary, Pastor Daramola spoke on "Receiving and Possessing the Kingdom," quoting John 3:3-5.

He reminded the congregation that to inherit the kingdom of God, one must be born again, baptized by immersion, and filled with the Holy Spirit. "You cannot migrate to heaven when you haven’t migrated into God’s fold here on earth," he asserted, calling for meekness, humility, and a life dedicated to seeking God’s righteousness.

In his inaugural speech earlier delivered, Pastor S.K Oyeleye shared his vision for the district: "I envision this district as a place where soul-winning and spiritual reawakening of the world is experienced in abundance, where lives are transformed, and where the Holy Spirit is manifest in everything we do." He pledged to lead with "integrity, humility, and a heart of compassion," emphasizing his commitment to serving the district with a focus on God's will.

The event was also attended by some other district Superintendents in Oshodi zone, including Pastor Abraham Balogun of CAC Mount Zion, Pastor Oshinlaja of CAC Iyana Ilogbo, Pastor Akinyomi of CAC Oke Iyanu Jesu, and Pastor Samuel Dada of CAC Garden of Glory. Additionally, Pastor Oyeleye's elder sister, Mrs. R. Solola, was in attendance to celebrate the momentous occasion.
