As the International Leadership Retreat organised by the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas begins on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 till Friday, January 31st, 2025, CACYOF Federal Capital Territory chapter (CACYOF FCT), has held her wing’s leaders retreat on Friday, January 24, 2025 at CAC Kubwa Districts Coordinating Council (DCC).
Organised under the leadership of the Regional Superintendent, Pastor Gabriel A. Aboderin, was a night dedicated to equipping youth leaders with spiritual and practical tools for effective service.
The DCC Superintendent of CAC Kubwa, Pastor Bokode, in his welcome address, charged the attendees to embrace leadership as a divine mandate. In his goodwill message titled “Diligence”, the State Coordinator, Pastor Steve Ehinju, urged the attendees to cultivate excellence and commitment in their service to God and humanity.
A major highlight of the retreat was the syndicate session, anchored by the State Program Coordinator, Elder Femi Ojuola. The interactive session provided participants with the opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore innovative strategies for effective ministry leadership.
The Regional Coordinator of CACYOF Medaiyese region, Pastor Paul Adegbola, delivering the lecture titled “Excellence in Leadership: Lessons from Nehemiah,” encouraged leaders to model their work on biblical principles of integrity and determination.
A workshop titled “Recognizing and Addressing Spiritual Dryness in Leadership,” facilitated by Pastor Tolu-tope Dada, was a session of insights and practical guidance to help leaders overcome spiritual stagnation.
The retreat was also characterised by Health Talk on “Managing Stress and Staying Healthy as a Leader;” and an ICT session on utilizing digital tools like Canva, WhatsApp, and Zoom for ministry effectiveness led by Tobi Okunogbe.
