The President of Royal Home Foundation International, Mrs. Deborah Abimbola-Akanbi, has emphasized the divine nature of marriage, describing it as a Kingdom affair.
She made the point during the analysis session on the third day of the just concluded program by CAC News - Possessing 2025.
Speaking on the topic "Marriage According to the Bible," Mrs. Abimbola-Akanbi pointed out that marriage is an institution established by God and therefore is inherently a Kingdom affair.
"Marriage according to the Bible is an institution of the will of God for earth. It is a gift from God to man. It is purely a kingdom affair meant to expand the kingdom and the will of God here on Earth." She stated.
She further highlighted the importance of godliness for both parties entering into marriage, emphasizing that both must derive their principles from God, the originator and designer of the institution.
"Marriage is between a Godly man and a Godly woman, that is, a man and a woman who have met with Christ; when it is only one that has met with Christ and the other is yet to, there will be problems because you cannot understand what you do not know, let alone what the one who knows it ordained it," she explained.
Drawing an analogy to everyday tools and equipment, Mrs. Abimbola-Akanbi underscored the necessity of adhering to the Bible as the manual for marriage.
"Just like the tools or equipment we have all around us, there is no how you can operate them well without consulting the manual attached by the manufacturer. When it comes to marriage, which is more than just a tool or equipment, there is a manual that God has designed alongside with it, which is His word," she added.
She concluded by stating that the Bible is the blueprint for building a successful marriage, as it contains God's instructions for its operation.
"The blueprint for marriage is the word of God. It begins with the word of God and its operation has to be in, by, and through the word. Anything outside of the word of God comes with so many struggles." She noted.
Mrs. Abimbola-Akanbi stressed the importance of recognizing and adhering to the divine origin and guidance of marriage, warning that neglecting God's manual can lead to difficulties.
"When they don’t acknowledge that marriage is ordained by God and its operation has to be by God or they understood it at the beginning but get into the marriage and forget using the manual, it will not work," she said.
She affirmed that following the Bible is essential for building a successful marriage encouraging Christians to increase the number of kingdom marriages on earth.
