A reflective atmosphere pervaded the Thanksgiving Service held at CAC All Saints Chapel on Sunday, February 16, 2025, as the congregation remembered the legacy of the late Pastor Gabriel Adewole Tewogbade.

The President of the Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Oladele, presided over the thanksgiving service, which was organized by the late Pastor Tewogbade's wife and children to mark the 25th anniversary of his demise.

In his address, Pastor Oladele spoke about the legacy of service to his generation that the late Pastor Tewogbade left behind.

Using David as an example (Acts 13:36-39), Pastor Oladele highlighted how David served his generation in diverse capacities, including as a shepherd, a soldier, an instrumentalist to King Saul, and as the King of Israel.

He emphasized that David's service was characterized by the positive impact he had on the lives of those around him.

Speaking further on the impact of the late Pastor Tewogbade, Pastor Oladele said, "He put smiles on the faces of those around him." The congregation was treated to numerous testimonials about the late Pastor Tewogbade's good deeds, including sponsoring the education of several students to the tertiary level, providing financial support to individuals with disabilities, and making external water taps at his residence available to the public daily.

Other notable acts of kindness included paying mortgage fees for several individuals, purchasing twenty-seven cars and distributing them to those in need, and inviting seasoned pastors to share the word of God with his family regularly.

The late Pastor Tewogbade also built office complexes at the CAC General Secretariat, among other philanthropic endeavors.

Pastor Oladele acknowledged that the late Pastor Tewogbade was not perfect but noted that he had brought comfort to many by wiping away their tears.

Dignitaries present at the thanksgiving service included the CAC General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji; the CAC Finance Director, Pastor Johnson Omitinde; the Special Assistant to the President and Chaplain of the CAC All Saints Chapel, Pastor Tunde Asokeji; and renowned gospel minister, Evangelist (Mrs.) Bola Are, among others.
