The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor S.O Oladele, has urged Christians to eschew procrastination and remember the ephemerality of life.
The President gave the charge last Friday during his message at the burial outing service of late Pa Gabriel Adelabu Ologunorisa, held at Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun, Akungba Zonal headquarters, in Akungba-Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Pastor Oladele whose exhortation was titled “The Brevity of Life”, urged the congregation to have an encounter with Christ before their days wind down on earth.
Referencing Job 14 vs 22, Pastor Oladele said “one truth we often forget is that our time on Earth is limited.
“Life is brief; it’s merely a journey. Given that our time is finite, what should we do? First, we must act with purpose and diligence, understanding that we have a destiny to fulfill.”
“Our primary duty is to know the Lord. If we feel the need to pray or forgive, we must do so now, without delay. Time waits for no one. If life is short, let us be diligent.
“If life is fleeting, we must also be patient. While some may think life will be without challenges, we must face its harsh realities head-on. We will encounter obstacles, moments of frustration, and times when everything feels uncertain.
“But these are the tests that shape us, refining our character and strengthening our faith. In the end, it is not the length of our lives that matters, but how we use the time given to us.
“Let us make every moment count, living with intention, love, and grace.
After the inspiring message, the General Evangelist of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji prayed for the wife, children and family of the deceased.
The President was accompanied by a distinguished entourage, including General Evangelist of CAC, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji; Special Assistant to the President, Pastor Tunde D.
