The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, yesterday arrived in Edo State for a 4-day working visit to the Hanson Region, which covers Edo and Delta States.
The President and his entourage departed from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, aboard Arik Airline around 7:15 am and arrived at Benin Airport at 7:55 am.
In his entourage are the General Secretary of the church, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur, Special Assistant to CAC President, Pastor Tunde D. Asokeji, Director of Youth Affairs, Pastor Dr. Peter Olanrewaju, Office Assistant to the President, Mr. Kunle Okubanjo, Personal Assistant to the General Secretary, Mr. Johnson Faturoti and CAC News Correspondent, Evang. Oluwagbenga Bankole.
They were joyfully received with enthusiasm at the airport by the General Evangelist of the church, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji (who has arrived in Edo State a day earlier), Regional Superintendent of CAC Hanson Region, Pastor Timothy Gbegudu, Regional Superintendent of CAC Odubanjo Region, Pastor Gideon Obiwale (who's also part of the President's entourage, but arrived Edo State a day earlier), Secretary of CAC World Evangelistic Outreach, Pastor J.O. Makinwa, Personal Assistant to CAC General Evangelist, Mr. Marvelous Okunola, some DCC and Zonal Superintendents in Edo State, Youth Fellowship, CACMA , Good Women and Royal Shepherd representatives.
After a brief rest, the President dove into official duties, meeting with professionals and stakeholders of the church in Edo State. The gathering took place at the impressive 10,000-capacity mega assembly, generously donated by 90-year-old Prophet John Odigie. This productive meeting provided a valuable opportunity for participants to engage with the President, fostering connections and discussion.
The President is scheduled to visit the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Omo N'Oba N'Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, this morning. Following the visit, the President will dedicate the CAC House of Prayer DCC Headquarters in Edo State. Afterwards, the President will travel to Ughelli, Delta State, where he will engage in various activities, including:
-Hanson Regional Crusade: A three-day event from Wednesday to Friday
- Meeting with Professionals and Stakeholders: An engagement with key individuals and groups in Delta State
- Dedication of CAC Mega Assembly: A significant event marking the official opening of the CAC Mega Assemble
